The inner cool pack contains hydro gel pearls that you soak in cold water: 1 hour before first use, then about 20 minutes to reload. Evaporation keeps insulin up to 12°C below the air temperature for 48 hours or more, depending on the ambient temperature, without ice or electricity.
Choose by what you carry: Size 1 holds 1 insulin pen, Size 2 holds 2 pens or 2 vials, Size 3 up to 3 pens and Size 4 up to 4 pens or 8 vials. Sizes 5, 6 and 7 are made for vials or eye drops. The Dia-Cool size chart gives the dimensions.
Yes. The Dia-Go! shoulder bag includes a Dia-Cool for 2 insulin pens plus space for a glucose meter case, phone, wallet and snacks. The Dia-GO! Lite shoulder bag and the Dia-Go Easy fanny pack also have a cooling system for insulin.
